Classic bread pudding gets a fun twist with Campbell’s® Condensed French Onion Soup, fresh apple, and salty Gruyère cheese.
Ingredients
- 1 can Campbell’s® Condensed French Onion Soup
- 8 ounces stale sourdough bread, cut into cubes
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 apple, diced
- 1 cup Gruyère cheese, grated
- 2 teaspoons fresh thyme, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter to grease muffin liners
- Foil muffin liners
Directions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the bread, eggs, heavy cream, apple, Gruyère, thyme, salt, pepper, and Campbell’s® Condensed French Onion Soup. Fold to incorporate evenly.
- Cover the mixture and set aside in the fridge, allowing the bread to soak for at least an hour.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place muffin liners in a standard muffin tin and grease them well with butter.
- Divide the batter evenly between the cups.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the tops begin to brown and a toothpick inserted into the muffins comes out clean. Allow muffins to cool before serving.
