Classic bread pudding gets a fun twist with Campbell’s® Condensed French Onion Soup, fresh apple, and salty Gruyère cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 can Campbell’s® Condensed French Onion Soup
  • 8 ounces stale sourdough bread, cut into cubes
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 apple, diced
  • 1 cup Gruyère cheese, grated
  • 2 teaspoons fresh thyme, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter to grease muffin liners
  • Foil muffin liners

Directions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the bread, eggs, heavy cream, apple, Gruyère, thyme, salt, pepper, and Campbell’s® Condensed French Onion Soup. Fold to incorporate evenly.
  2. Cover the mixture and set aside in the fridge, allowing the bread to soak for at least an hour.
  3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place muffin liners in a standard muffin tin and grease them well with butter.
  4. Divide the batter evenly between the cups.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the tops begin to brown and a toothpick inserted into the muffins comes out clean. Allow muffins to cool before serving.
